You are warmly invited to our next Teachers Open Evening on Tuesday 9th October 2018 at The Gilbert White Field Studies Centre.
From 4pm -7pm, we will be opening our doors to teachers for an exclusive tour of our education facilities, fieldwork sites and The Museum to help you plan your future visits and fieldwork for the next academic year. A true highlight this year will be a chance to explore our brand new Frank Oates Gallery, telling the story of a Victorian explorer of Africa and C. America.
As well as sampling some of the delicious cakes and treats from our Tea Parlour, you can:-
– Join a tour to experience some of our popular education sessions
-Discuss your class’s requirements with our professional, experienced and enthusiastic education team
-Find out how we can tailor educational visits on themes such as;
-Ecology & Biodiversity

-Gilbert White, the first ecologist and local writer

-The Outdoors and Wildlife as an inspiration for Art and Literacy projects.
You will also be able to find out about our exciting sleepover and outreach programmes and our soon to launch loans boxes and scientific book library.
