autumn nature lectures
On Thursday 9th we are delighted to welcome Andy Broadhurst and Tim Norriss from the Hampshire swifts. They will explore the plight of these beautiful and charismatic birds, which have declined across Hampshire and the UK by more than 50% over the past 22 years. And explain what we can do to stop and reverse this decline.

The at the end of the month on Thursday 30th we welcome Dr Brian Irving MBE. Having been the manager of the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) for over 20 years Brian has a wealth of experience in nature conservation and landscape restoration. His talk will explore the many and varied projects he has undertaken from bog restoration to species introductions and his personal passion for wildlife photography and bird watching.

Both topics are very close to our hearts here at Gilbert White & The Oates Collections. Tickets for the lectures are just £10 and can be purchased here.
