If they have aspirations or hobbies in history or nature, then we might just have a brilliant way for them to gain work experience and meet like minded people! Over the Summer Holidays we’re running a Naturalists Club from 10am-12pm on a Thursday Learn a new set of conservation and surveying skills to help our wildlife flourish and create new habitats for local wildlife, both on our grounds and for your own gardens. This will involve the use of tools such as gardening equipment. And if it’s History they’re interested in why not come along to our Young Curators Club Thursdays 1pm-3pm Find out what exactly a curators job entails and take on some of the role for yourself. Explore our collection from the behind the scenes and work together to create a temporary display for the museum.
We’re holding a teen Bat walk on the 16th August, where you can use bat detectors to find the various different species of bat in Selborne followed by eating marshmallows by the campfire!
All our Wednesday nature activity have a special time slot in the afternoon for young adults. So whether you’re interested in bush crafts, butterflies or amphibians there is something for you!
