Homity Pie makes a return!

Rebecca, our wonderful Tea Parlour Manager, has spent her christmas break it would seem, scouring old cookery books to find a more flavoursome recipe for the 18th century Homity Pie. It comprises of mashed potato, onion and cheddar cheese in a pastry shell, which has the potential to be quite bland but as the buttery aroma of herbs and garlic wafted through the house and staff acted as guniea pigs, we knew she had hit on a winning recipe at last. The secrets of the new recipe has been shared with Rebecca’s able assistant Amy (but no-one else!) and it is now being served in the Tea Parlour so do come in at lunch time and give us your verdict!
