Inspiring Journeys: June Blog
After the launch it’s been wonderful to utilise our new spaces as the summer months roll in.
The Frank Oates Gallery is now complete as our Central American tree has burst into life thanks to local artist Karen Burling!
We’ve had workshops in our new discovery room, as well as introductory talks for large groups.
The new look museum has been a win with lots of our visitors this month commenting in our visitors book ….#
“Wonderful to see the Museum all grown up” M.T. East Worldham
“Congrats on the change” C.S. Farnham
“What a wonderful walk through Oates’ Safari. Asante Sana” P.B. Narobi, Kenya
“Wonderful exhibition of a great feat” R.G. Portsmouth
As of writing our June aim to see the café open at last hasn’t come to fruition, our pop-up café has been doing amazingly to accommodate for peak business and has survived both the Nature Festival and The Unusual Plants Fair, not to mention the high level of groups we’ve seen this month.
However there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes as we quietly get on preparing for White’s whilst our contractors finish their necessary work. Firstly we have enlarged our catering team! With the marvellous Debbie heading this new and approved team that features our new chef David. They have been working on a brand new menu in our new kitchen!
We are hoping that the café will open very soon, and will announce it officially as soon as we know!
