‘Watching Narrowly’ Winter Photography Competition

Gilbert White viewed nature by ‘watching narrowly’ and changed forever how we look at the natural world.

This year we will be holding four seasonal photography competitions culminating in an exhibition in 2022.

If you have a Winter nature photograph you wish to enter simply send it to info@gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk or post it on social media using #watchingnarrowly and tagging us!

Competition deadline is 20th February 2022

Winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will be announced on March 1st

Prizes

3rd Prize: 1 years Free entry for the winner, £10 voucher for giftshop or café.

2nd Prize: 1 years free entry for the winner and one other and £20 voucher for giftshop or café.

1st Prize: 1 years free entry for up to five people, and £30 voucher for the giftshop or café.

All prize winning pictures will be displayed in 2022 for our ‘Watching Narrowly’ Photography exhibition. 

The rules

JPEGs only

Please send us your photographs either by using the above email or by tagging and using the hashtag, if the hashtag we cannot be sure it is an entry. If you do not tag us there is a risk we will not see it.

Photographs must be seasonal (i.e. clearly show they were taken in spring) and nature related. 

The photographs do not have to be taken in 2021.

This competition is open to all ages and abilities and will all be judged together. 

Entries must be sent by the 20th February 2022. Any later entries will not be counted.

All entrants must own copyright.

All entries need to be high enough quality to be printed at at least A4. Maximum resolution of 2000 x3000.

By entering the competition you are allowing us to share your photograph on our social media (You will be credited).

By entering you are giving us use of the image with no payment.

A release for any recognisable people must be available.

By entering the competition you are agreeing to us potentially displaying your photograph in our ‘Watching Narrowly’ Exhibition in 2022.
