Home Educators Mighty Mapping Workshop

This workshop uses OS Explorer maps to introduce or build map reading skills, and includes how to read a map, identify map symbols and use grid references. There will be a walk in the village to put your map reading skills to the test. In the afternoon the focus will be on compass reading, including how to take compass bearings and follow a compass orienteering trail around the gardens.

Suitable ages 7 -14

Please note: the content of this workshop is not accessible to younger children. Younger siblings may attend but will need careful supervision, especially during the village walk which includes road crossing. Please reserve younger siblings a ticket so that we are aware of numbers.
