Our popular gardening event is back with a slightly different look.
On the 14th and 15th June our popular gardening festival returns and it’s been been running for over 30 years!
Now simply called the Plants Fair, visitors can meet stallholders throughout the region to purchase high quality plants for their gardens.
The museum attracts local and independent nurseries to come and share their expertise and amazing stock. This is a perfect chance for lovers of gardening to stock up on plants which aren’t available in the garden centre.
Beer lovers will be delighted to know that we will be joined by The Gilbert White Brewery which will be selling refreshing pints.
There are also some great food options to give you the strength needed to lift all of your new plants into the car! (That said, we can provide help with a wheelbarrow).
Corresponding with Father’s Day, our Plants Fair is the perfect opportunity to get the whole family together. It’s a bargain at only £12 per adult with under 16s going free. This not only includes the event, but also includes admission to the house and gardens.
Our annual Plants Fair is a vital fundraising event, so all the admission money will go towards helping the museum to continue its work in maintaining the garden.
If you’re looking for some gardening joy this Summer come on down. You can check out the event on our ‘What’s On’ page: https://gilbertwhiteshouse.org.uk/event/save-the-date-plants-fair/?event_date=2025-06-14
