23rd July- 4th September
Choose a new way to discover our museum and grounds by borrowing one of our scavenger hunts, Butterfly and leaf spotting guides or Nature back pack and Sketching kit bags from reception. What will you discover?
25th July, 8th August & 15th August
Discover the bats living in Selborne on this family friendly tour. Please check our website for further details. Starting from the Gilbert White Field Studies Centre.
31st July
Venture into the River with us to discover the inhabitants. Don’t forget your wellies. Children must be accompanied into the river.
1st August
Edward Lear was famous for his silly nonsense limericks! Join Sara Lodge for a workshop to create your own! Suitable for ages 7-11
Tuesday & Thursdays in August
Come and try your hand at being a naturalist by examining some of the specimens from our learning collection. Use a range of tools to find out about the animals in front of you including microscopes, measuring equipment and fact files. Suitable for all ages.
14th August
Natural clay modelling, soil paints, nature collages and leaf sculptures…what more could you ask for? Wear clothes that you don’t mind getting mucky.
21st August
Grab a butterfly net, a wildflower guide and a minibeast kit and come and explore the wildlife in our meadow with our Education team.
